Marylebone House Author Nominated for Short Story Prize

Marylebone House is delighted that Kenneth Steven, one of our authors, has been shortlisted for the V. S. Pritchett Memorial Prize 2016.

Author with us of The Well of the North Wind, Kenneth Steven is also known for his poetry (such as Letting in the Light, recently published by SPCK) and short stories. (The Well of the North Wind is just £1.99 for an eBook on Amazon!)

Kenneth has been nominated for his short story 'The Listener', which echoes some of the themes of his novel, as noted by judge Sara Taylor;

"captures a landscape as if in a photograph, allowing the reader to encounter it slowly and naturally, with more detail unfolding with every beautiful paragraph"

You can read more about this prestigious award, and the other authors on the 2016 shortlist, on the Bookseller website.

Kenneth Steven joins the ranks of award-nominated authors published by Marylebone House, alongside Sarah Meyrick who was longlisted for Not the Booker Prize for her debut novel Knowing Anna.
